it keeps giving me an error "E-0" or something like that, and wont read any cds...i just purchased this 99 2.3CL used so i dont know the history of the player, just wondering if theres any way to recussitate it or do i have to buy a new HU? thank you.

 

should be fine. chances are the battery was disconnected before u bought it, therefore you need the security code to use the hu. i replied at the "98 cl, bose headunit code" thread which should answer your question. this is the 3rd post almost in a row for the same problem. it's ok though, next time use the search option. http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=99312

 

i really dont think this is the problem because if it was a code issue, the error message would be CODE, and once i enter the code it would work. however, it says PE0, and whatever i enter it does not work. the radio feature works, i just cannot play cds. if anyone has any suggestions please reply or email me at kobe898@yahoo.com.

 

i've had a P-E0 before. turned out the cd motor had went bad. refer to this thread, and it should answer any of your questions.
