in all the one's that installed over the years I never had that problem on the N1's or the N2's. I can say for certain that if you are pulling out by hand that the motor on that screen is now dead. Not to sound demeaning but I would wonder how you are using to have the exact same problem on two different units.

I had that problem a few weeks ago. I bought it from tweeter with a three year protection plan so i just brought it back in and they took it out, fixed, and re-installed it for free. I am assuming you don't have a plan like this so my suggestion would be to disconnect the negative side of the battery and reboot the h/u. The day i was going to bring it in the screen finally popped out but some of the buttons and the lower part weren't working like the tilt buttons and others. I tried the battery thing and it made my screen pop out but then the other thing happened. See if the shop you got it from can help, maybe a cleaning, and go from there. If you've only had it seven months than it is still under warranty right? Was the shop you bought it from an authorized pioneer dealer? Hope everything works out.
