I have an Alpine cda-9856 for a while now and now something is wrong with it.
The deck will power up and function fine but no sound will come out.
I not sure what it is. I checked all the wires and settings and everything is normal.
I do hear a faint popping sound when the deck powers up on front, right speaker. I am running aftermarket door speakers with 70watts RMS each off the deck until I get my full system installed. Is is possible that the internal amp is blown?

 

maybe your speakers are blown?

 

I doubt it because I'm getting no noise from any of the speakers even if turned to the max. If the speakers were blown they would still make noise. Looks like im buying my new deck sooner than expected.

 

I am gonna go with the stereo internal amp is blown it happend to me with a sony explode a couple of years ago.

 

found the problem. It was actually one of the speakers. One of the connectors was touching the door causing it to ground. I guess when that happens the amp shuts off.
