Powering speakers
I recently finished putting together a new system in my car and i have not been able to stop "tweaking it" or feeling that something is lacking.
I have a pair of CDT CL-61 components and while the imaging is great they seem to lack a lot of midrange and the highs seem to overpower. I know for a fact that i am underpowering these speakers right now. I believe CDT calls for 95 watts rms each while i am only feeding them with 60-70 watts rms. Will this difference in power really make a difference in the quality of the sound?, (because the speakers themselves get plenty loud).

underpowering and overpowering speakers will always give you a different sound persay. however, in your case, i know cdt speakers are quite bright as it is, so i think you should be ok.
vinbell, the 95w rating is not really accurate, even if CDT says so because every car is different. going from 70w to 95 isn't that big of a job. You'll be able to play louder, but that's about it. Sound quality is going to stay the same, only volume changes. If the speakers are loud enough with that kind of power, then adding more wouldn't really help your situation.
How do you have your tweeters mounted? Do you have the silk or metal tweeter?
I use to have CDT Audio speakers too, and I know what you mean by the tweeters overpowering the mids. In most cases, your problem is more likely how/where the tweeters are mounted.
