Lookin pretty good Zodiak.
I have the wood kit from Tim and I put on the stereo piece with double sided tape instead of the adhesive sticky stuff. When I save up some cash (after tails, intake, springs, sways...) and get a new HU I'll use the wood to help cover up the install.

All i did was take the navi unit, its like a radio unit, unplugged it from the harness and moved it down with some custom brackets and custom face plate. Lucky for me the wires for the navi were long enough so i didnt have to extend them. there were two plugs that go into the navigation unit, one for the actual navigation functions and the other for the A/C controls. Its not that hard to do and its so much nicer having the tv screen at eye level

The replacement of the stock head unit in my CL-S was finished yesterday. Here is a link to see how it came out.

I couldn't be happier with the appearance. A laser cut piece of black fiberglass was used (flat on the outside/ shiny on the otherside) for the faceplate. Here is a link to the the professionals who pulled it off.

MToker, it could be better. Go to Select Products and get yourself a nice piece of laminate that matches the burlwood or carbon fiber or even black. You can cut it to size and cut out a DIN opening. Just a thought cuz I don't think your satisfied yet

Water Rabbit, so you still have stock spkrs and amp? And I don't mean to be picky, but is that a gouge next to your Eclipse h/u? Nice equipment BTW

No, an older Rockford Fosgate 600 watt amp from my last system was used to power some new Eclipse Hex midrange and tweeters in front and Eclipse M3 6x9 coaxials in back, then another Rockford Fosgate Punch 500 was added to power a single enclosed KEF 8" subwoofer which fires directly into the cabin through the rear seat passthrough.
I don't have any extra gauges...I'm not sure what your're refering to.
Waterrabbit,
He wasnt asking about gauges. In the piture it looks like a gouge or scratch next to your headunit.
BTW, nice job. I just finished my faceplate, which looks identical to yours. The rest of my system is in the siggy.

Water Rabbit, on the captions of your images on photopoint. It sounds like you were able to save the NAV voice after replacing the headunit?
Is that right?
