ported/ vented/bandpass boxes all allow you to get alot louder/deeper bass w/ smaller/cheaper sub amp combos- the drawback is they dont sound near as clean or tight as a sealed box. If you have a monoblock going to each sub- power isn't an issue for you. It all really depends on the reccomendations of the sub manufacturer though. Often they give specs for each type of box- but I personally prefer the sound of a sealed box. I would steer away from a prefab vented box- they often dont match up with the manufacturers reccomendations- if they are wrong It could sound like ass and make it much easier to damage the speaker. My reccomendation would be a custom-built sealed box if you want it to sound best. This doesn't have to be really expensive or fancy- just a standard carpeted rectangular box will get the job done. If this isnt an option- I would look for a prefab box that sticks as close to the manufacturers specs - no prefab vented or ported though.
