Pioneer AVIC-N1

Im looking to buy and self install the Pioneer AVIC-N1 in my 2003 tl type s non- navi. I went to crookfield to get some info before I purchase and it says I will lose my factory sub and EQ. Is it possible to keep the sub and if so how? Thanks for any info.

if you're planning on upgrading h/u you might as well go the 9 yards and upgrade the entire system

Why do you want to keep that POS Bose sub anyway? I replaced the speakers, added a sub and two amps. Focal speakers on the doors, custom JL audio sub enclosure in the trunk and JL audio amp for speakes and another for the sub. Here is the AVIC_N1 in the car. Soon to be replaced with AVIC-D1.
