vsokolov , did you have subs hooked up to the N1 unit? Reason asking is because the N1 only has 2V Pre-Outputs. I was looking to get the P7500 only because of the 5V Pre-Outputs... let me know if you can get me a P7500 for a good deal, thanks.

2v pre-outs means a 2 volt signal coming from your RCA outputs. If you are into sound quality, you should get the avh7500. If you want a unit that does it all with no worries of high sound quality, go for the AVIC N1. Good luck! And yes you can install rear seat monitors later.

One more question - did you use another amp or the stock one?

i got this deck too-it's great! the navi it right on and the sound great. i am getting some engine noise though and it's driving me nuts. also, the fan noise gets really irritating.

ok right below the AVIC i have and extra dvd, cd, cdr, mp3 player by boss wich is used to fire up the tvs in the back of the headrest. I also have 2 extra amps one for the 2 subs and the other for the speakers and africanstar i dont really hear the fan at all or any other noise trough the engine or so let me ask you did you install it yourself? or you have someone like a pro to do it. I would check all wires to make sure that they are connected right.

hey l337, i got a pro to do it. i have an old 4ch alpine amp and the installer claims that because its so old the is no ground loop or something like that. i am going to get it rewired to run the door speakers off the deck instead of the amp and see what happens.

and also make sure u have a clean ground (what i mean, is make sure that the pro sands a liitle of the paint, if there is any on the source he makes the ground connection) If they dont do it properly there will be a "whistle" when you accelerate thats irritating like you wouldn't believe. I also suggest to sauder all your connections not some wack tape job

Thats my $.02
