There are instructions that come with. But not for your car. You will need to hook up a parking brake wire and a speed pulse wire. You will also need to purchase a double din dash kit from your local Acurazine vendor. The install is moderately difficult. You can do it yourself if you are careful and take your time.

You local Acurazine vendor will also prepare your harness. This means that all you will need to do is plug the AVIC-D3 in. Except those two wires that I mentioned earlier.

Please PM me for further details.

Also, a cool thing about the D3 is that it does not require a seperate iPod interface adapter, its all built right in! All you need is a $30 pioneer ipod cable. (ripoff, but worth it)

PAC and Peripheral electronics both make steering wheel adapters for us. They run about $50 bucks. If you have a TL or CL you will need a double din dashkit from your favorite Acurazine vendor.

Installation in a TL should run about $250. Add another $80 for the CL. And about $50 for the steering wheel control install.

thats where it gets tricky... you can fabricate a custom dash kit out of a metra or scosche i would use the scosche since the pocket can be removed without being cut. do a search, a couple of people have made them and have came out quite nice. i am in the process of making one of these kits, but as for right now i cut out the required space needed for the radio to protrude and mount the trim bezel that the d3 comes with around it to cover up the "jaggedness" of the kit - after the kit and radio have been mounted, does that make since?

kinda, so cut out the extra din pocket to make it fit. i have seen a diy on it seems pretty easy. but the finishing is tough. what are you going to use to paint the trim peices to match?? post some pics when your done so i can see, my d3 comes in a few days, oh yeah where is the vss wire on the 99tl?

you should be able to pick it up in the cruise control module just above your break pedal.

ITS A BLUE W/ WHITE STRIPE IN A BLUE CONNECTOR THAT IS PLUGGED INTO A "MEDIUM SIZED SILVER BOX"

if you are familiar with multi-meters please test this wire before you hook it up.

you can also pick up your reverse signal in the passenger side kick panel. pm if you need that...

also unless you are integrating the sub, go in your trunk and unplug it because you will get a slight ground hum if you don't.

you can use a regular 98 and up wiring harness for the rest of the wires you need.
