Pioneer AVIC 1-AVIC 2 05' TSX Mounting ?

I have an 05' Non-Navi TSX. I am considering adding a Pioneer AVIC 1 or 2 in the storage slot using the Acura MP-3 mounting bracket. I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can answer before I move forward.
I have read enought to know I can add this unit using the SNHOND3 from Soundate through the Aux. Input on the Stock HU. This way I can retain the functionality of the HU.
So Can I:
1) Use the Factory XM provided with my stock HU or at least the antenna so I don't have to mount a 2nd XM antenna?
2) Do I even need to purchase the AVIC 2 or if I can use the XM from my stock HU can I just buy the AVIC 1?
3) Has anyone used the Ipod Integration (CD-IB100) set-up for their Pioneer Unit? If so does it work well?
4) Lastly, can I someone e-mail me the instructions so the DVD player will work while the car is in motion!?
Thanks a lot. All input welcome. Chris

1) Not sure if you can use the same antenna. Hopefully the XM tuner module has the same type of antenna jack as the other XM antennas. You'll have to locate teh module and check. From what I heard, it is somewhere behind one of the panels between the backseat and trunk areas. Look for posts by Elduderino. He located the box before. i don't have factory XM, so I dont know. Even if you could use this antenna, one of the things I would be worrying about is whether the antenna cord will be long enough to reach to the Pioneer XM module. If you get the Pioneer XM tuner, it will come with an antenna anyway, so you could always use that if you can't get the factory antenna to work. If I were you, I would just stick with the factory XM though. It will cheaper, and it's already all setup. The only bad thing about it, is that you would not be able to use XM while using your N2.

2) The N1 and N2 are identical. The N2 is just more updated with XMTraffic and also with Video in motion lockout. The both have the ability to add XM or Sirius tuners.

3) I have the Ipod interface. It is decent, but not super great if you want to look for songs that you don't have playlists setup. The sound quality is really good, and if you have good playlists setup, it works great.

4) There are not really detailed instructions out there, but I can give you a quick explanation.
For the N1, just ground the parking brake. That's it.
For the N2, you have to peel back a label on the unit itself and put in a short wire to connect two points. Do a search on "Pioneer N2 video motion" for more info. StreetEffectz has done this, along with another member.

Thanks for the information. I greatly appreciate it. Did you install the back up camera also? As far as the i-pod interface is the cable long enough to have the i-pod sitting in the center console? Thanks!

Yes I installed one, but I'm playing around with the best mounting location. I didn't get the Pioneer branded one though. It looks really tight, but it's expensive.

The Ipod cable is really long, and I have mine mounted in the center console. It's in the compartment where the coins go.

That's good to know. There's a guy here in town with the N2, Voice Control and Camera for $1,500.00. He only purchased it a month ago and has decided to trade in his Evo. I am considering buying it and then adding the I-Pod Cable. The XM thing is my only hold up. Not sure what to do about that. Thanks!
