output voltage of the deck.. what does that mean?

was looking around for a new deck... diff decks have diff output voltages... what does that mean? is it the voltage on the RCAs to hook up to an amp? if I'm planning to use the deck to power the speakers... do i need to worry about the output voltage?

btw.. i'm looking at the jvc sh707 and sh909.. the only diff. between the 2 is sh707 os 2V out.. and sh909 is 4v...

thanks a bunch...

If you plan to use the deck to power the speakers, then you need to pay attention to the output power (in watts) i.e. 22w x 4 (rms) or 40w x 4 (peak). The preamp output (in volts) is the output signal amplitude at line level (for amplifiers). The higher voltage output, the cleaner amplified signal you will get.
