off topic question about car audio and computer power supplies

i want to hook an amp and stereo up to a computer power supply. it shouldn't be too hard since a PSU has 12v power outputs to power the stereo and amp. the amperage output is what i'm really worried about. i have a 680 watt power supply that operates at 36 amperes for the 12v power lines. i just want to hook up 2 subs and 2 and speakers. i wish there was a 3 channel amp i could find and just run parallel to the subs. the amp can't be too powerful because that wouldn't be able to be powered by the computer PSU. i'm thinking around 300 to 400 watts. 50 to each speaker and 200 to the subs. i just want to use one amp because of size constraints. anyone have experience, opinions, or product suggestions?

he wants to put car audio in home, so that's why the power supply.

a 4 to 5 channel amp that is Digital like Class D, G, or H would be advised, to get the most out of the power supply.

The computer power supply will work, but the amp actually has a circuit to boost the supply voltage to work around the 12V limitation in the car. So you will be converting the voltage twice (not the most efficient), and in order to keep the computer power supply running properly, you will have to put some loads on the other output sections to keep it running stable.

I think a better idea is to buy something for home use - check out:

You can get a stereo full range amp and a sub-woofer amp in the power range you're looking for at a very reasonable cost.
