Hi,

After i put my phone charger in the socket, the cd player and radio( i think the whole unit) stopped working. i dont see any thing in the display, no lights in the display. Please let me know what do i need to check?
Should it be a fuse problem. if so please let me know how can i fix it?
Please post pictures if possible. I am a newbie.

It's more than likely a fuse. See the Acura owners manual on how to find, check and change fuses.

 

Similar problem with my 97 CL, plugged my radar detector back in and radio lost power along with cig lighter, Fuses are ok. in both fuse boxes. I have a custom stereo system but cant find any reason why this would happen.

 

I have checked the fuse and its blown. I have replaced it with a new fuse and the power is back. I entered the radio code and it started working as expected. Thanks to this forum which helped me fix my problem.

 

Have you checked to see if your cd player has a fuse on the back panel or on the power wire behind the head unit?

I have not checked fuse else where. First thing i checked is the fuse on the passenger side door. I found it burned and replaced it and it started working after entering radio code.
