I have a way of posting things on here that incite a reaction that I didn't expect, but I came across this trunk today and I had to share it with you guys.

Just wanted to say it looks pretty neat and now it has my mind putting together some ideas.

 

I like it.

Not crazy about the JL speaker grill but I like the blob look...It's similar but different to Electro's car, but Electro's is more space effecient.

 

The only thing I dont like is having the amp mounted directly to the box, while any amp is going to get rattled around in a trunk with a sub I think the extra punishiment of having it mounted directly to the box might be a bit much.

But its neat anyway

 

Actually, the box should be strong enough not to transmit vibrations to the amp. If it's not, then the box is crap. Plus, the amp is nicey out of the way of the subs firing direction.

Plexiglass is what Gately is known for, so you can always expect a plexi grill with them.

 

Yeah, I looked at a bunch of pics on the page and saw TONS of acrylic boxes.

They do look cool, but I've built a few boxes with acrylic windows and they do flex( depending on design of course)... But sometimes you have to give up a little sound to get a little coolness factor....

 

It's alright...

I personally like a much cleaner install that pushes the speakers are amps to the edges of the trunk.

 

Looks tight...too bad we can't hear it too, cuz sound is the most important thing!
