Post NEWBIE QUESTION

sup guys i really need some help...i'm a newbie at this stuff..so my questions might sound stupid to a few of you...but here goes....this is my situation

i can probably get an amp and 2 kenwood 10 inch subs for $400 i'm not too sure if that's a good price so what do u think...i want to install both while keeping my streo/console

i'm sure some of my questions have already been asked ....well anyway here are my questions:

1) if i install the sub and amp can i also connect the bose sub too?

2) where are the wires located to attach the amp?

3) if i decide to take out my amp and sub for storage purposes, will it be easy to remove?

4) has any1 here ever installed just the sub and amp? if so can u please explain in detail how you did it?

5) if the amp and sub are installed will i be able to control the bass using the bass/treble dials on the console? or will i need something else to control the bass?

6) i was told that the connecting the amp after the bose sub is bad and that disconnecting the bose sub totally is a better idea. is it true?

well those are my questions for now... hehehe
i might have more...
so thanks

Before answering some of your Q's I have a couple of recommendations Search for Car Audio and do some research - you'll be surprised at how much you learn. Here's one for starters: Basic Car Audio.
Then before you buy email StreetEffectz - he has the best prices and top quality gear. Got my amps and sub from him.

1) Yes - but why - it's not very good.

2) If you install an amp for your sub you need to run power to the amp. The stock sub amp and wiring harness are located behind the rear seat, right side.

3) Depends on how you want it installed.

4) I've installed sub and amp. Too many details to type here. Check car audio sites - lots of them give details.

5) You can - but an EQ or Bass Cube would be better.

6) I removed my Bose sub and amp cuz I didn't need them.

Good luck.
