Newbie Audio Question...help please

I've been looking at a wide range of different display units. Everything from Sony to Kenwood Mp3 or not, all these things. Anyway, the question is, do I have to make any large changes to anything to simply replace the bose CD unit and put a sony one in. Some kid employee at BestBuy told me I'd have to change wiring or something like that and it'd cost me a pretty penny. Someone set me straight on all this please.

Thank you

Ben

he's right , because bose works with a seperate amp for each speaker, (behind each speaker) and the stock wiring has each amp wired seperate with two high imput leads, and power and ground leads,
just so you know, all my friends come to me to "fuck" with there radio, i wired bose speakers with stock amps to a clarion dxz615(pain in the ass , each bose amp wired seperate) after all the work it sounded like shit. my advise would be take out everything bose and save it incase you ever sell car. leave all factory wires and harnesses, cap off loose wires(shouldn't be any) and re wire an after market system from scratch

by the way stock bose speakers with amps can be sold for some $$ at auto salvages
