What kind of dolla bills are you willing to spend?

Lets see. You need a nice amp, some power wire, RCA's, nice box for your new subs.

Nice amp would be a Rockford bd500.1,bd1000.1
Phoenix Gold makes some sweet amps zx400ti or 600ti. Xtant 1001d. Decisions, decisions...there are plenty of good quality amps out there. The choice is yours.

Monster Cable, Phoenix Gold, Stinger and other names are good interconnects. Just depends.

cost wise i'm willing to spend between 1000 and 1500. poor college student here =) i'm trying to bid on a pair of JL's on ebay but i still can't decide witch amp to get. What constitutes as a good amp? and how many would i need? i see guys on this forum with crazy ass systems, and i would also like to nicely integrate it into the trunk. I guess what i'm looking for is both quality and show. thanks for the help guys.

Thumbs up

I really like the new JBL power series amps.
Yeah I know JBL......
But they are class-D amps though.
I thought about the rockford but picked the JBL because of the deal I got. I got the BP1200. I was told they are even under rated and really push 1378 watts.

I got 2 JL W3's in a HO box, and a rockford 500.2 amp (but you could get an 800.2 which would be even louder) and they sound great. Even below your price range, i got mine for 900 out the door, with install and wires included. fits perfect in the back of the trunk. let me know if you want pics,

late

Hey, yea, I got a hookup at this one place called Audio Images right by the mike harvey dealership. If you are definitely going to go with some of that stuff, let me know and maybe i can go down there with you so that he gives you a tight deal, cause the more business I bring to him, the better deals he gives me.

I'm also getting a pic for someone else, so I'll definitely have one up tmrw. Hope that helps,

Yo, just realized that you had a 97, im not sure what that trunk looks like, but, if it's anything like mine, it should fit fine.

here are the exact dimensions of the different JL Audio boxes (HxWxD):

HO Box 2 10's: 14.5 x 32.25 x 18.5
Prowedge 2 10's: 12.75 x 32.25 x 14.5
bandpass 2 10's: 15 x 25.5 x 16.5

hope that helps . . . you can also check out their website
