What are you trying to get that your W7's don't do?

If you can wait, a Tempest-X by DIY Cable is an awesome sub and a huge bargain for what you get. I have one in my home theater and love it.

dont get me wrong i love my w7s they are just not subs to compete with from what i keep hearing also i have zero room in my trunk and the specs still call for a bigger box...

i cant switch down to one sub because my amp doesnt have the ohm load or whatever...jl made it to where to get the best performance out of a single sub you have to buy their over priced 1000 what amp at least that was what i read and was told

so...i am on the look out for a great 15 and i will check in to DIY i have never heard of them before

It's the Exodus Audio brand name, sold at DIY Cable. He had it designed by Dan Wiggins, who was CEO of Adire Audio. It uses the xbl_2 motor topology and is based on Adire's old Brahma motor. If you want to see what an SPL vehicle using Brahma's can do, check this video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvlGx7iM7OE

If you are looking for an SPL oriented setup, then check out Incriminator Audio.

Good luck with your decision!

The DDZ series is a burp sub. It's good for burps at comps. If you try to play music on it, you'll kill the sub... It's not what it's made to... Those old Adire's are no joke... So if that DIY sub is made by the guy that designed it and with similar (or better) parts, that thing should be a beast. Mike, keep in mind AQ=DD. The people that own each company are the same family. If you order something from AQ, it comes in a DD box. So keep that in mind if you're looking at a DD.

Other subs to look at: RD Alphamax or Alpha V.2 with flatwind coils option. I have a V.2 12, and it's a beast.
Cascade Designs Omega. The guy that designs/manufactures/sells them says they'll handle 3300w daily and there's a guy doing 155+ with 2 15's and ~7kw... So they get pretty loud...
Atomic APX, Mach 5 SPL are also good choices...

www.diycable.com

Unfortunately they are out of stock on the Tempest-X, their 15" sub. However they do have 12" (Shiva-X) and 18" (Maelstrom-X) subs available.

Those Brama's are no joke... As for that Parthenon motor, it looks like DD's Z motor a little bit. This one looks like it would work daily though, and since the Z's are burp only...

As for RD's site, here you go: http://www.rdaudio.net/index.htm

Since you're looking at 15's, check this out: http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/f...play.php?f=110

One of the guys over there is doing a 15" challenge, where he's testing any/all 15's he can get his hands on.

As for the HDC3, it's a very solid dub. The SDC2.5 is more of an entry level sub. The HDC3 is where you're going to want to look if you're thinking AQ. As for the difference between the Alpha and the HDC3, the Alpha will hit lower. The AQ's like higher tuning, but still do alright for the lows, whereas the Alpha slams when tuned low...

your call dude... At this point, it's all a personal choice... You can wait for the 15" challenge, and then judge based on that, or you could buy whatever you want now... It's your call...

I just talked to Matt (the guy doing the 15" challenge) and he said he's just waiting on all of the subs to come in. He's hoping to get everything started by next week. I really want to see the results, as there are a ton of sick subs (some with more hype than others) that will be put to the test...

HDC3 with Aluminum coils should handle 3-4kw or so... With copper coils, it's probably good to 2k or so...
