My only question, would Acura NAVI DVDRom Drive Unit capable of reading DVD+R formats?? I dunno.
I'll be purchasing a Dual Layer burner (probably Sony 700A) sometime soon, so I'll let you guys know if I have any success in backing up my DVD disc...
DVD Confusion
I got my TSX in July 2004 with a manufacture date of June 2004. My information screen reads:
Database Version: 20030902
Software Version: 1.0900
If the most current "version" being sold is 3.30G, shouldn't that appear on this screen rather than 1.0900?
I'm very confused. Is the 3.30G on the disc itself? I guess I need to go out and eject it and find out....

You have the latest version (you can tell by the database version). They update it every September. So September of last year currently is the latest version available. I expect we will see the one they are putting together for this month by January next year.

Figured it out....
Yep, I ejected the disc and it has 3.30F printed on it. I guess the 3.30G is one step newer, but it couldn't be that much of a difference.
The reason this originally got me concerned was that many of the restaurants listed on the maps in our area went out of business and changed hands several times, but still show up on the directory lists. I guess they are just really way out of date....

At telematics conferences, Navtech says out loud that no one buys new discs. Everyone tells them that they need to sell cheaper, and they smile shyly and say nothing.
