Ok i have been searching this forum for hours maybe someone can help me quick...

if i replace the stock HU with an aftermarket one and bypass the stock am can i use the stock bose speakers? i remember hearing somewhere that they run on different ohms. is the only way to put in a new HU to replace all the speakers?

also, does anyone know of an adaptor to allow you to use the steering wheel controls?

I got a new headunit and use my same stock speakers...they work perfectly fine...

 

I'm no audio whiz but WHY would you spend the scratch to likely ( in order of preference) increase the quality of your listening experience only to use the stock speakers?

 

I want to do the upgrade in phases... buy more expensive stuff in little bits rather than a all of it at one time and have it be under par... plus i want to add navi and can find an oem conversion kit anywhere.
