New Amp To Stock Sub.. Possible??

So I'm reading through the forum on how to keep the stock sub while adding an aftermarket HU. And it seems like people know what there doing, but the final product of what they do just doesn't work.

My question is, can I just power the stock sub off a small amp? I just want to run a new amp to the trunk and use that to power my stock sub. Its a 100w max amp, would it be too much power for the stock sub?

I wouldn't mind going the other route discussed in other threads, its just the procedures they're giving don't seem 100%

It actually worked.. stock sub can't take much power though. Sounds way better though, I can't turn my volume all the way up because the sub will just cut off. So I keep the volume at just above half way, which is just enough..

This is only temporary until I get something to fill the trunk, I still want to keep the stock sub though. For when I turn the big subs off for when I'm washing my car or entering my neighborhood
