Thumbs up New alpine monitor!!!

Alpine is finally coming out with a new 7" motorized monitor. The model number will be the TME-M790, I couldn't get a price on it yet but it looks sweet. No excess buttons on the monitor real clean looking. It will be introduced with the new F-1 gear, CDA-7990, and the sweet EQ/DD processor the PXA-H900.

Question

The dealer was pretty tight lipped about it. Showed me a fax copy of it. I did notice another 7" indash monitor for sale on the alpine japan site try this link: www.alpine.co.jp/alpine/audio/afs_cda-7990j.html then go to the select lineup pulldown on the left and go down the list to the entry that has AV with 4 kanji letters after it. This will give you all the monitors. The new one in japan is the TVE-T720 7" monitor. I'll get my inhouse translater hot on the info for you snook. I don't think it has touch screen.

TVE-T720... I just went to the site. It looks cool.

It's a TV tuner w/ a capacity to hook up to a DVD system (Car Navigation).

Those 4 little flags on the bottom from left to right...
1. Set the angle to your liking within 15 degrees left/right
2. auto dimmer function (automatically adjust the brightness of the screen according to the surrounding light)
3. 4 types of display modes: wide, zoom, "cinema", and wide screen.
4. RGB Input (lets you hook it up to car navi system)

It doesn't mention anything about touch screen.

Hope this helps.
