Most mono's will be Class D.
You not asking for much W's so I would go with 2-channel bridged.
High quality, very musical, and underrated, and US made;
Lunar 60x2, 240Wrms x 1 @ 4Ohm for $289 (small footprint and built-in fan, black or white)
or
Arc Audio 2050CXL, 245Wrms x 1 @ 4Ohm for $284 (available in black chrome or blue).
Both of these amps are underrated and are workhorses. I have a Lunar on my sub and it has performed flawlessly. Very simple but serious amp w/o the bells and whistles. Lunar would be my $300 pick.

TLDude:
Or get an old body design Rockford amp...for 300 @ 4 ohms...go grab yourself a 360a2 for around $200...at least my 400a4 was $200. But it'll be a long hunt to find one. I think I did answer this Q online for you though...so well let me know how it goes.
Oh and the PG is a good choice too But I'm an old school RFer
