I got my Kenwood DNX 6140 back in September for really cheap. ($500 after rebate from 6ave.com) The going rate is ~$650 at Ebay right now, It's a great unit with all the features that you are looking for. the GPS is Garmin based so that's always a plus.

Like someone mentioned above stay away from the Pioneer F Series. Even with new firmware, my wife's F700BT is notoriously slow and still locks up a lot. The new models FWIH are the same.

I also looked looked at the Eclipse, at the time it was still new and there were no reviews out.

My Kenwood has navi built in, no adapter needed. The Alpines have not been getting good reviews for their navi implementation.

The Pioneer F Series isn't that bad. I mean for the price, you really can't beat it. Mine has never frozen or crashed, however it is slow until it fully boots up. My biggest complaint is the included iPod cable. They no longer make the F Series and replaced it with the X. They're supposedly faster to respond to commands and usually sell for full retail price. No steep discounts like the F had.

Hey guys I just got the Pioneer avh4100-DVD installed in my 06 base MDX. I have the top "calculator" screen with the gas range, mpg, compass, etc....and I just picked it up last night from the installer. Now my MPG is all messed up. It was at 17.2 when I dropped it off, and now it is around 12.8-13.1 now....you think he hit a wire or something get screwed up? I just think the screen is wrong and the gas is still around 17 mpg. Also, he installed a switch under the steering wheel so I can override the e-brake and watch dvd's while the car is moving. ANy feedback or tips would be great!! I'll post pictures of it later.

They probably disconnected your battery, I'd imagine it will recalibrate

didn't know there was a KWood DNX 6140, i saw KWood DNX 5140 all in one DDin. Best buy is selling it for 949.99 lil on the steep side. Are u sure its a 6140 not a 5140?

has anyone swapped the door speakers out or rear speakers for compontents? are the bose amps compatible w/ aftermarket speakers or do you have to gut it and rewire it?

Yes, I have a 6140. BB is a ripoff for car audio. When my wife bought her F series pioneer, they wouldn't match ABT Electronic's price of $349. BB had it for $300 more at the time.

hay normal, how you like your 6140? that must be the new model...idk?

I've narrowed it down to Kwood 5140 for the most part but if i can get my hands on a 6140 (new model i hope) i might just get one. give me the scoop on it, no promlems or issues?

Kenwood DNX5140 is my vote... it's a good unit, includes Garmin GPS, multiple add-on accessories (back-up camera, etc.), has 3 pre-amp outs if you're looking to expand your system, and has great reviews. It's also a pretty good price right now.

I was eying the Pioneer head units for a little bit but I haven't heard good things about them so I'm steering clear.
