Need some help

When it comes to car audio, I know absolutely nothing, so I really would appreciate some help. I've been searching through the forum for some tips, but figured I'd just come out and ask. Bose sucks....my "friend" jumped in my car and cranked up the volume real quick and blew/tore/whatever my rear speakers.....so now when there's some bass in my songs and the volume is anything over 25% up, sometimes it'll sound like there's a piece of paper vibrating on my speakers. Well its pretty annoying, so I wanna do something. Funds are a little tight, so I can only spare around $500, and was just wondering if you guys could suggest some sorta setup I could go for

I listen to mostly hiphop....so I guess something that'll give good bass. Like I said, I have no clue in this department, so any help would be great......thanks

are you sure it's the speakers that are blown? it might just be the rear panel or 3rd brake light vibrating against the glass.

Yeah, I'm sure the speakers are gone I got a buddy who has a shop, and basically he's just asking me to tell him what I want, and he'll do it for pretty much at cost. I just dont know what to get. I don't know how well he knows his stuff tho, or else I could rely on his opinion, so I was hoping to get some "expert" advice from you guys

I replaced my rear speakers with some old 6x9 Infinity Kappas I had. In the front, I went with some focal components. They sound great. I would save up for a nice sub though ....
