I want to keep the Bose HU and speakers and just add a single 10" or 12" sub to get some clean kickin bass. I'd need an amp too - and I'm looking to spend around $250 - $400 for everything. Any suggestions? Thanks - it would help alot.. I'm new at this stuff, but I have a good ear.

Even though it sounds bad you may like the Infinity Basslink since it already has an amp in it.

 

yeah today i went to fry's electronics, i saw HIFONIC amp pretty good price 250W- 2 chanel for 199$ bucks, and they sound nice you should go see it, and the sub JL w3 is the one you need.

 

Thanks for the advice - would a JL 12 w3 kick hard enough to invest in some dynamat for the trunk? Does it really make that much difference?
