Need Radio Code...HELP PLEASE

I have a 2003 TL and I had to change the battery last week and now I haven't had a radio since. The radio code that is written down in the the maintenance log that the dealer gave me is wrong. I called the dealer and they had me press in the 1 and 6 preset buttons then turn the radio on hoping that an 8 digit number would show up, but that didnt' work.

Does anyone know how to get the serial number off the radio a different way? I know it's written on the back of the radio. Is it hard to remove the radio? The dealer wants to charge me $125 for this.

Pop your hood. Pop your fuse cover off. There should be a white sticker on the underside. The sticker should have your radio CODE and radio serial number.

See the links below. If you turn the radio off, press the 1 and 6 and while holding them, power the radio on, it should give you the serial number which you can use on the radio-navicode link below to get your security code.

My bet is that (like mine), your radio has the issue where it just will not accept the security code. Easiest way to get it to take it is to drive to an underground garage where you will get no radio reception and try entering it there. Go as deep as you can to lessen the chances of getting a signal, and give it a shot.

Your other option is to disconnect the antenna. See the links below.

The serial number should be on the inside of your glove box. There should be a white sticker in there that contains two number sets. The 5 digit set is your code and the other number set is your radio serial number.

you're only going to have those handy stickers if the dealer installed them during the PDI. with the radio off, press and hold 1 and 6 at the same time while pressing power. a series of numbers should show up, its your S/N. If you give me those numbers, I can get you the CODE.
