need help tuning hifonics bx1500d
i just bought this amp but i dont know how to tune it. i just need to know what subsonic (allows control from15hz-35hz) and phase (shift allows 0-180 degrees) mean.

Subsonic (companies should start labeling infrasonic instead). Anyways, It is used to attenuate frequencies below what you set to choose it at. Basically a Highpass filter at a very low frequency. If you have a sealed box, it is not necessary to set it. It can be off if you want. If you have a ported box, thats a different story. If you have one, what freq. is it tuned to?
The phase controller is what controls the movement of the cone when given a signal. For simplicity, if you send a subwoofer a DC current, the cone will either go up or down. But say it goes up. Now when you change the phas to 180 degrees, instead of going up when it gets the signal, it goes down. Completely opposite of what the amp is getting as a signal. I find it most of the time that most people won't notice any difference. Just leave it at 0 degrees, or play around with it.

if you like it then keep it the way it is. I personally hate it because of the excessive distortion. It gets very muddy at high volumes. Lots of peaks (thats what bass boost does). But there are times when I want more bass, but the most I've used was about 3db or so. Then again, i'm not a basshead
