I would start flippin through a Cruthfield. They don't sell any really bad stuff and usually have some good amp deals (look for closeouts). Also they have great sub/box combo deals. Remember to include $100 to $200 in wiring costs. This car is pretty easy to wire yourself so that'll save a bunch of cash too. Good luck!!

any particular brand that U guys might recommend? I hear the Alpine Type S is a good one... Also do we need to add a wiring harness to hook up an amp and a sub? I assume there are no RCA Jacks in our bose deck..?

I know this is more than what you are looking for... but here is what I got..

1. Phoenix Gold Ti600 amp ($520)
2. 12" Solobaric woofer ($220)
3. Sub box ($30)

I figured that an average amp would cost me $350. And the other choice for woofer was the Polk Momo 12" which is $175. Decided to splurge and get what I really wanted.

OK I don't usually suggest parts since I believe that everyone has their own tastes but www.mmxpress.com and www.sounddomain.com are having killer prices on the Crystal CMP subs right now. In my opinion they are one of the best SPL/SQ subs out there (for the price). You can shop around Ebay for anything that will put out 500w+ at a 4 ohm load. I believ you can get an Alpine MRV-1507 for under $400 on EBay, I think there is a Planet Audio Big Bang for under $400 right now, anything that will put out at least 500w rms should do the trick. Don't worry too much about the SQ of an amp since it will be used only for sub duties...
