Don't replace the sub in the back just get a enclosure and you can only fit a 8" shallow mount in there anyway

x3 budget on your audio

When you say replace the sub in back do you mean in the deck? Because this probably isnt a road you want to go down. Youd be free airing the sub which unless its made for it probably wont sound good.

Why memphis might i ask? If you want to save some money try looking for some used stuff.

As for the speakers heres a thread i found on here https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/speaker-size-174536/

Im very satisfied with my Crescendo comps(if you wanna see them search for my thread.) and they should be just drop ins for your door. Youll just need to mount the tweeters someplace or you can mount them on the speaker.

My brother used to run nothing but memphis and audiobahn in his car and i liked how it sounded. plus i can get a deal on some brand new memphis door speakers for about 60 a pair.
i saw ur pick and wat are u pushing?

rockford fosgate has some subs that can be without a box.
plus ive seen many cars with subs facing inside with the magnet hanging.

By pushing what do you mean lol. and eggyhustles, once again you design someone an entire system that will sound great, for cheap. How do you do it?! and i dont think ive ever seen you recommend the same setup twice.

if u really wanna keep the sub in the deck, that thread below is how u can keep the factory sub with an aftermarket deck

When I put in my Pioneer dvd hu the factory sub still worked take a look at that thread it should help you out. I just didn't like the distortion of the facotry sub and speakers when they were being pushed hard, so they couldn't stay. Take a look at some 6.5" Focal Polyglass speakers. I am a huge fan of their speaker, once you hear them you will fall in love. Look around on craigs list and you can find some really good deals every now and then. JL audio sub(s) and amp will sound amazing and normally there is a good selection of used products.

Sounds like you need to figure out what exactly your goal is for the car. How good of sound you want. I did my car in stages h/u, then subs, then speakers. Easy on the wallet but I now have more than enough power and amazing sound quality.

If you go for quality over quantity as far as the amp you wont need an extra battery. When I first put my subs in the amp wasn't getting near enough power and would keep shutting off. I just cleaned off all the corrosion from the terminals and all of the wires. then just ran to autozone and picked up a stinger connector($20) for the positive terminal and haven't had a single problem since and that was over a year ago.
