I have a 98 Acural CL 3.0.

Left the lights on yesterday at the mall, and had to jump start the car.

Now, I have an 'err-3' message on the radio. The book says I have to take it in to the dealer, but thought I would try to find out if I can reset this myself.

Any help will be appreciated.

 

Try and reset it.. Take the positive terminal off the battery for a minute or so and then put it back on and see what comes up..
That would be my first attempt..

 

Eh this happened to me after I wrecked my car. In my car I believe I had to take the ash tray out to find the proper code. It's part of Acura's anti-theft system. Oh, the dealer tries to charge 80 bucks.

 

where is the ashtray located because i reset my ecu after i installed my cai and now i dont know the code and dnot want to pay 80$ just to get my stock stereo working again
