Question Need Help With Audiobahns

Hey guyz, what's up?
I'm running 2 10" Audiobahn AW1006T subs with a 1300HCT Audiobahn amp, as well as I'm keeping the stock deck. Any suggestions on wiring up the system and taking apart the centre console?

you will need a line out converter and tap into the sub wires (behind rear seat)
here is a link to taking apart the dash http://www.abunchofcars.com/diy_page...er_console.htm

oh and first chance you get, do your self a favor and get a aftermarket HU

you could alternatively, run a remote, power and ground and tap the lines before the stock amp and avoid the loc. either way you need to remove the back seat.

LOC - line output converter. It converts from a high-level to low-level signal. High-level signal is a signal which would power a speaker (amp to speaker). Low-level is a pre-amp signal. LOC lets you take speaker output from factory amp and step it to a low-level signal which can then be input to an aftermarket amp. As someone else mentioned, there is a stock low-level input that goes from the front of the car to the factory sub amp in the rear. So you could just splice into this low level input and add RCA ends to them. Or you could take the stock sub amp output and use an LOC.

Back seat - Remove 1 10mm(?) bolt above driver side lap belt (you have to get inbetween the seat bottom and seatback with a ratchet...poke around a bit and you'll see it). Then the seat bottom lifts out (friction fittings on the front edge of the seat bottom). Then remove 3 more 10mm bolts at the bottom of the seat back (one each near the doors and another near the passenger side lap belt). Then lift up to release the friction fittings at the top of the seat that go into the rear deck and pull the seatback out. You'll need to move the seat belts out of the way to get it all the way out. It can be a little bit of a pain to get the fittings at the top of the seat to come out and stay out. ie. as you release 1 side of the seatback, it will tend to pop the other side back in. Having 1 person on each side helps, but isn't necessary. Do it once and you'll definitely get the hang of it.

You mean just wiring the amp for the sub? If so, you don't really need to take the dash apart since you'll be tapping the signal wires that are located by the stock sub amp (behind the rear seat).

check this thread below, someone just added a sub/amp using this same method.

you dont run a power wire to the stock deck. you have to drill a hole through ur firewall and run the power wire through there directly to the battery. make sure you have a inline fuse within a foot of the battery. the only thing you have to run to the headunit are the RCA'S and the remote wire.

Hey DJ,

R audiobahns any good? im thinking about getting 2 Audiobahn Alum12Q for my car but some one mentioned in another post that they are not worth buying any that they tend to skip beats when it comes to fast bass i.e. they are only good for rap.... info much appreciated...

What kind of LOC did you get? Or did you use it? Do you happen to remember what color wires are what? I'm looking for a LOC, I dont know which one to get. There is 55w and 30w MAX input that i'm looking at. Help?
