Need help!!!

Hey Guys,
Im terrified I really messed something up in my TL. I recently replaced the Bose Speakers in the front with Infinity Components (6020cs) and after hearing the ridiculously exaggerated highs, I decided to bypass the Bose EQ. I'm thinking that's were everything went wrong.
I read tons of articles and i summed up what I could to do the bypass. From the little black harness behind the factory deck, I took the red wire, cut it and attatched it to the cut blue wire, essentially making a wire that goes right out of the red and right into the blue. Then, I did the same thing but with the white and orange. I taped up the exposed White, Red, Orange and Blue wires that were connected directly to the bose EQ. Everything worked fine for about a day, sounded great. Then, all of a sudden, I turn on my car and NONE of my speakers are working, only the SUB is giving off a muddy sound of my music. I turned off my deck and turned it on again, and everything was working for a while, few hours maybe, then it cut off again and hasn't come back. I took the deck outta my car again and checked to make sure the wires didnt come loose but everything was secure, i even reattached to be sure. Still nothing is working, just the sub. PLEASE HELP. I want to know what I may have done wrong, I hope my deck isnt shorted or I havent fried any speaker cable....

Sounds like it might be shorting out. Make sure when you put the deck back in that the wires arent touching each other nor the frame. Im not sure how you connected it via butt connectors or not but you might want to recheck or redo the connections.

Make sure you dont let any wires touch each other also. Just redo what you did.
