Question Need guidance on aftermarket headunit compatibility

Hi all,

I'm planning to remove my stock headunit and to replace it with possibly a Pioneer headunit and an in-dash motorized touchscreen. I'm looking at this headunit as a possibility:

This is probably the touchscreen I'll be using with my mini-ITX system. The computer will probably be mounted under the passenger seat:

Crutchfield doesn't have guidelines for the '01 CL, so I'm not sure if the Pioneer will fit, and am hoping someone on here who is more knowledgeable will know. I'm assuming it'll fit since it seems to be a pretty standard 1DIN format, but if anyone can provide some guidance, or good alternatives in the $200-range, it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

2nd link doesnt work & first link shows many products. As far as a standard cd player fitting, that shouldnt be a problem at all with a metra kit.

Oops, not sure what happened there...
The headunit is the Pioneer DEH-P6700MP.

This is the touchscreen:

Also, are there 2-DIN Metra Kits out there? I've only been able to locate 1-DIN versions in the past. I would need a 2-DIN model, one for the headunit and one for the LCD. How well do these kits match the charcoal interior of the '01 CL?

I had similar budget to urs when purchasing aftermarket hu. I went with Alpine CDA-9830 from Crutchfield for 5 dollars more than ur pinoneer and I absolutely LOVE it. Haven't heard single complaint about alpine products. If I were you, I'd look into that before making ur purchase.

Well, I'm definitely open to suggestions for other manufacturers, and am really just beginning to research headunits. But yeah, I don't have a huge budget for it, because most of the money is going to go on the computer and touchscreen. The two main things I'm concerned with are an aux input and a colorscheme that hopefully comes close to the green dashboard lighting of the CL dashboard, if at all possible.

I'll definitely check that out. Thanks for the suggestion.
