NE1 using a Bazooka tube?

I just want something simple like a 10" powered bazooka. I use to have a system in my last car and I don't want to fuck around with installing it and mounting it. How does the bazooka sound in our car? I don't want a yo-boy thump just a little something so you can feel it.

From other people, I've heard that they are not that bad if you get the best one. I was thinking about getting one, but instead I got an Eclipse 88100 10" Aluminum sub with a Directed Audio Mono 600W amp w/ a capacitor. I love it because it is not overwhelming but it has a good clean sound with good lows. A plus is that the amp has an external bass control mounted up front. A sort of minus is the cost. With installation it was a little over $1200. But if you got the money i would do that. One other thing: Dynomat your trunk, and stop the little bit of rattle, but it sounds a lot cleaner inside. Hope I could be of help.

Tubes don't usually work well in trunks, they're better for hatchbacks and maybe trucks.

Bazookas are made for adding that litle something to the music. You won't have overwhelming bass, but you'll befinitly add to your enjoyment. I had a tube in my old Accord. It was in the trunk and while it definitly would have sounded better if it were a hatchback I thought it added nicely to my sound. For hip-hop it isn't the best thing but for rock it sounds great. The type of sound in rock and other types of music work well with the limitations of the tube.

Peace,
N
