Navigation Pin does not work

I called in with my navigation serial # off the unit in the trunk and it does not work. What options do I have? I heard you can take the navigation screen apart and there is a # off the back of that. I changed my battery and my screen is locked. I also have tried resetting the screen by MENU - MAP - CANCEL, but that doesn't do anything either.

I found the code on the wire above the unit. Does that sound right? When I gave it to the acura guy he was able to pull a pin off with it, but it does not work.

You may need to pull the Navi unit for the serial number. I didn't know that they put the serial number on the wiring harness and even if they did, the potential is there that the unit was exchanged if the PIN they gave you doesn't work.

The serial number is going to be on the back of the navi screen most likely, it wont be on a wire harness. That is actually just a part number for that wire harness, thats all.

I did bring it to Acura, the guy said try to find someone to take the screen apart and get the code off the back of the screen. I always thought the serial # would be on the actual DVD unit. Anyone have any info on taking apart the screen? DIY?

Uhmm i think there wrong, the code will probably be on the back on the screen as in where all the plug ins go in. I know for the radio its on the top of bottom of the unit. You will have to take apart the dash surround piece that goes around the navi and speedo, Thats super easy though, as far as i know, you cant take apart the screen without destroying it. I think what they meany by take it apart is taking the dash piece off and unbolting it
