from the way it was shown to me it would cost about as much as buying a TL with nav just to put in the factory nav into the car you have now

My thoughts are that you will need some interconnecting cables, dash pieces, and lots of other little stuff. Have you looked into an aftermarket unit?? Are you willing to part with the stock deck (really think about this one, I wish I swapped mine out)? Where did you get the nav unit and do you know if it works? If the main DVD unit is bad you can't get parts, just pay crazy prices to replace it. If you cant do an in dash HU with nav you could mount your screen elswhere.

I asked about having the factory navi system piut into my 99 TL when I bought it. This is what i remember of what I was told. In the 99-00 tl it is so costly that it is essentially impossble. it would require the obvious screen, and nav system. along with a whole new brake system since the locating system for the nav is in the brake system and isn't exactly a bolt on piece. there is obious other pieces needed, but that is the main reaso why it would be impossible. The main thing i'm not sure of is if he said it waqs something that was only applicible to my model or if it applied to all TLs
