navi software

can you upgrade the software for navi? I don't mean map software but navi system software.

my navi's software just looks so primitive compared to the newer ones.

i'm pretty sure you can but you might have to replace the dvd unit in the trunk which is going to be few grand.

i have 03 tl-s...dunno what version.
