Navi screen fuzzy/scrambled

What causes the navi screen to become fuzzy or scrambled?

It was working fine earlier today, and when i got back in the car, the screen became scrambled.

I believe you are correct.

The video cable from the navtool converter had a split on the outer jacket. This exposed the internal wire which i believe caused the scrambled/static look on the screen.
