NAVI to DVD Requests

Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of installing Doms converter, Blitzsafe and DVD player and need some into. I know I saw a post about removing the passenger side kick panel, but I can't find it. Also I think Dom said the converter needed an aux power as not to drain the battery? Where can I get that? I've got a hot wire running from the battery hookup on the fuse block already going thru the firewall, but either need to find an aux power or put in a switch. Help me out a little guys and I'll post a good DIY with pics when I'm done. I already mounted my player on the inside ot the little trunk door so that when I open it, The dvd player is accessable, the hidden when in use. I'll mount the remote eye up front. Thanks in advance for the help. P.S. I tried search but could only find the console removal for the blitzsafe install.

I did it behind my kick panel, but I have a TSX. As far as an auxillary input, I think he means hook the unit up to the aux power so it turns on when the radio is turned on. Doms unit has a red+ and a black- power wire, blue and white auxillary camera wires (for reverse camera, etc..) and the video wires used to tap in to your navi screen.

To be safe I would add in 12vdc power filter in-line with domw unit to avoid any possible noise. I got mine at radio shack for like $16.

I installed my unit today and I tapped into the navi power. In the same wire harness as the RGB signal, there is a yellow wire with a red stripe and silver dots, which is switched +12V, and thats the wire you want to tap into. It turns off with the ignition. There is also another constant +12v wire right next to this one but it has power all the time even when the ignition is off. You could also tap the black wire, also in this same harness, for ground. I did it without a problem and the picture is perfect!

O just realized you have a tl and I have a tsx. The wires should be the same if not break out the multimeter and do some testing like I did lol.

Ooooh, you'll have to come to the next Mass. meet so that you can show it off and explain to me the entire install process. I'll be doing this mod next spring, but I'm a littler nervous about doing it myself so I was planning on going to NYC to have them do it.

Although this is the AVelectronic unit, perhaps there could be some stuff that will help.
