Question Nav to DVD in TSX (Can ANYONE Make This Simple??)

I spent the last 2 hours looking at posts and trying to understand how to convert the nav screen to play dvd's and watch tv and i got nowhere!! Is there ANYONE who can make this process simple?!

What products do I need to make this work??
How much will this all cost (A Roundabout $$ would be amazing)
Are there any detailed directions out there???
and finally...
Is there anyone in Central NJ who knows how to do this and has some time on their hands??

That's part of the problem... you're supposed to READ the posts.

You need an Composite video to RGB conversion module. There are three kinds of these:

Some need to be hardwired in. (I use a NavTV that needs this... I don't know about Domofnavwithtv's unit.)

Some are "plug-and-play with no cutting. (Vsokolov's works like that)

Some also include a tuner (AV Electronics, which is also plug and play in installation but has a TV tuner I don't recommend.)

wow it's really that hard eh ?

stop "researching"/ asking and waste your precious time if you can spring about $700 to $800 = DVD player+ TV antenna+"Conversion Modules"+FM Mudulator+INSTALL

2 vendors : vsokolov and domofnavwithtv

They both have shops in Brooklyn, so head east....

Its very very simple! If you buy DOMS UNIT you need to cut 4 wires. I used the wires from a plug behind the passenger side kick panel. I also mounted the unit behind the passenger side kick panel. Once you cut those 4 wires you need to connect the unit to power and ground. Once that is done, simply plug your video source (dvd player, tv tuner, etc) in to the unit. It comes with a switch that allows you to toggle back and forth from your stock Navi/accessory screen to your video source. You can also hook up a seperate video source to the unit like a back up camera that turns on when you put your car in reverse.

The unit only convertes VIDEO. Once you get it connected you need to figure out how to get the Audio to play. This is a totally seperate beast!
