My Trunk Rattles!!!!!

Well my trunk rattles like crazy (2000 watts). And it sounds like its the locking mechanism in the trunk. If i push the trunk from the outside just under the A emblem it stop but i have to push in pretty hard to make it complete stop. What can i do, i know dynamat but can i do anything else? Like tape the lock or something, i dunno ,thanks in advance

Is that 2000watts rms or is that max? Cause i'm getting two type R's in my tsx and tis 3000watts max and 1000rms combined. Is this rattling only noticable outside or is it inside too? Thanks

I have 2 12 DVC TYPE R's in my car and I am running over 1100watts into 2ohm load and my trunk rattles like my trunk is going to pop open. Even with Dynomat, it will rattle unless you put quite a few layers to it. Dynomatting will take 90% rattle from your trunk if you do it right.

I think he taped the little bar that the trunk latch latches around. The tape will work for a bit, but you will have to replace/fix it every once in a while.

You can also adjust the latch on the trunk side (not the trunk lid/door) so it shuts a little bit tighter and that should stop the rattle, but it might mean you have to push a bit harder to close the trunk.

with over 1000 watts, I think almost any trunk is going to rattle regardless.
