My speakers don't work

Hello,

I own a 1996 acura 2.5 TL
I just had a Kenwood MP532u head unit installed, and the people who installed it (best buy) said that they couldn't attach the wires that correspond to the speakers on the ceiling (near the reading lights). Is this really the case or did I get a bum job?

thanks

are they stock? cause an aftermarket radio can only handle 4 speakers or a 4ohm load on each ch.

iirc i believe that the those TL's (as well as previously the legend) had an option built in car phone setup. with the speaker being the on described. if this is the case about the speaker that you are referring to, then yes they are correct and it doesn't need to be connected.

it is a separate 4-pin harness for those dome speakers... with an aftermarket HU, there is no physical location for you to plug in that harness, so if you want those to work, you will need to manually splice them into the main harness...

BTW.. welcome to the forums...
