My iPod connection should be here in a few days...
I've been looking for a way to connect my iPod to my 'aux' button on my stereo since day 1 of buying the car. Called the idiots at Dension -- who make the ice-link -- and they told me of this 'wire' they had for $250. But the problem w/ the wire was that it wasn't exactly set up to work w/ the navi system. So, in order for me to make it work, I would've had to disconnect my CD changer, and SPLICE a new wire into this $250 wire they were going to sell me... FUCK. THAT. No, thank you.
Well, after looking around w/ no luck, I called a guy I know in Arizona that owns a stereo shop. He researched a bit for me, and turns out that Soundgate makes a box that connects directly to the back of the navi aux. button w/ out the loss of the CD changer... and since its just a box w/ RCA jacks at the end, I'm buying 6 feet of Monster Cable, running it below my dash, and into my center armrest area. Then I can connect the iPod to the stereo AND be able to charge it without any problems. The parts (including the monster cable) cost me less than $130 shipped, and from what I can tell... it 'should' work. stay tuned...

Indeed that will work. This has been covered throughout the Audio and Video forum, I suggest you take a look there for some more help. The denison allows you to control your Ipod throgh your steering controls, but if you do not care for this the setup you have will work great. As for the dension you can just buy a Honda Y Splitter for that cable and you will not have to splice anything. I do care about being able to use the controls on my steering wheel so i'll probably get a dension as soon as they are in stock

I'm glad you're happy with the soundgate adapter, but this is all old news. There are plenty of Navi users who have made the EASY mod to the ice-link in order to use it with their Navi TSX (plus its well-documented on this site). The ice-link is great because you can use the factory stereo controls to change the tracks on your iPod. No reason to come here and complain - try searching around the board.

Nice pic Girth!
I agree what denison is selling is way overpriced at $250 -- it should be half that max. In addition, I think the soundgate part at $130 is overpriced too. It's not much more than specialized connetor and some RCAs. In contrast, I bought an adapter that allows the my steering wheels controls on my S2000 to control my Sony HU and that part only cost me $60. That part also added automatic volume compensation that's based on vehicle speed (which is a very nice feature for a convertible).
