Thumbs up My install - a Sunday well spent.

Check out my install. Nothing too extravagant to start off with, just a Rockford Fosgate amp and sub in an enclosed Q-logic box. Hits pretty hard in place of the 6x9s that I unplugged.

I can turn down the bass from the HU now and listen to distortion free music - sounds sweet even with the factory speakers.

Good job. But you might want to make it look cleaner by hiding all the wires. I have a similar mod (only alpine) so I know it rocks.

Is the amp just screwed into the factory plastic liner, or sheetmetal? Because if it's the former, that might not be the safest way to secure it...

Yeah I'm working on hiding the wires. I need to get some more black wire sheathing, as I used it all up convering the power wire in the engine compartment. I should have taken pictures of that, it looks neat and tidy.

The amp is secured to the sidewall of the trunk, but not the sheetmetal. Seems fairly snug, in that when I pull on it there is no movement to speak of. It was the best place to install it, as the seats can still be folded down and I could use the 6x9 wires for the install.

By the way - thanx to AJB and Ortiz for the help with the remote turn-on lead. It was right there under the "not an ashtray" where it was supposed to be. That wiring diagram was helpful.

now that my sums/amp are finally wired properly i am definately loving my sound system. you can hear/feel my car coming down the road now and there are no rattles inside or outside thanks to well placed dynamat. one thing that really helped with rattles on the outside was completely dynamating the back of my license plate. also i unhooked my 6X9s because they are basically useless now that i have two 12s in the trunk.
