I am not pro at this car audio stuff but it interests me greatly, i want to learn how to understand which kind or type of speakers should with whichever decks. I am basically asking for the 411 on this. Please help me understand this, after i understand how everything about everything works i will go to store and i will get what i need instead of what they want to sell

For the 1st gen TL you'll want to get some resistors for the dome speakers, they run on a different impedence. 4 ohms. You'll need to splice the wires and connect those dome speakers to the front door speakers.

Front door speakers are 6.5 inches, rear speakers are 6 x 9

 

If you get a nice set of components, for the front, the tweeters plug right into the stock locations this will give you a crossover, that will give you a cleaner tighter sound
