These d3's are sq subs right. 28hz might be a little to low for these ,no.
Looking forward to seeing the finshed setup.

Yea they are, but they will do fine @ 28. My buddy has 2 of the D3 10"s @ 28 and they do very well. Diamond recomends the F3 at 32hz but they do surprisingly well at 28.

Not too crazy, probably just build the box and make a trim panel to go over it and cover it to match the trunk carpet. Or do the same thing but put vinyl on the trim panel to match my leather and trim out the sides and cover it in vinyl too then do the floor in beige suede. Not real sure yet but nothing to crazy seein that its my family car and still need trunk space.

A build with 10s is always interesting... I love builds with smaller subs... Thorshammer has a pair of DC lvl 5 10s. That's probably my favorite build that's going on right now. With a Stetsom 14k2d, he's doing around a 151-152 range... Should be pretty sick when he gets the new recones in, and finalizes everything with Rusty. He should have some pretty bulletproof 10s when he gets done...

2 15s ported in the trunk would be impressive. My 2 10s take up most of my trunk (although it will be more full when I get money for batts) but my low tuning doesn't help. I'm still sad to see people jumping up to much bigger subs to get loud...

I didnt really get the 15"s to be louder, just wanted to do sumthing different, ive had: 2,3 & 4 10"s, 2 & 3 12"s, and 1 15" but never 2 and i got a damn good deal on em!! Its my family car with my daughters car seat in the back seat and still gotta haul groceries around and a stroller. Once i get my Sierra or Yukon then the TL is gonna be nasty and ill prolly do some 10"s again. As for now, the TL is mainly for looks.

Get 2 10s loud... That's different... At least in most places it is. I know my 10s getting as low as they do is extremely rare around here. Although my buddy is working out the details of his upgrade. He's gonna be running 8 10s, and we have the same product needs. FS in the 25-28hz range, 1500w power handling, high excursion, relatively cheap... Gonna be some nasty cars in SW Ohio for the 2011 season...

Greenwood, I can't wait to see more of your 15s. Kinda funny, my box for 10s is only .5 cubes smaller than for your 2 15s. I'd guess gross volume is actually more in my box, due to the massive port.

The 15"s will be going in the truck or suv and the back seat is coming out of the TL with prolly 6 10"s, im lookin at the Hertz HX 250D's. What kind of vehicle is your buddy doing the 8 10"s in? I did a new GTO with 6 10"s with a wall in place of the back seat but he used cheap equipment and he wanted it tuned high, like 42 or so.

It's a Saturn SL2 I believe... Pretty sure it's like a 97 or something. The amp will likely be a SounDigital 12k, box is 12 cubes, probably ending the tuning at around 28hz or so... Basically a full wall, at the B-pillar. It's gonna be nuts... I can't wait... He already has the bottom half of the enclosure built for his 2 18" Cascade Omegas, and it's currently tuned at 30hz. We're working on a "Port extension/hood" that will bring the port up even with the B-pillar, instead of porting out of the rear deck like it is now. We're not sure how much it will actually lower the tuning, since the port area will be constantly increasing... It's going to be very interesting...

Yeah, it works... I really like his setup, but some guys in Chicago are scared of it... It's too low for them. They really like their AQ subs tuned at 38-40hz. Doesn't make any sense to us Ohio guys, who really like our low tuning, but hey whatever floats your boat...

Yeah, Brian, you're showing that you're straight by that last statement... That 33hz tuning is entirely too high... You should really work on that...

Can I haz? Better yet, put it to good use, in a nice low tuned ported box. And throw a bunch of power at it. You should enjoy it quite a bit...

It came out of a 95 Eclipse, idk how many watts was on it or the size of the box or what it was tuned to but it was pumping the hatch pretty nasty. Idk if im going to keep it or sell it, if i keep im going to have to BEEF up my electrical system. Really wanting to go back to 10"s if i do another setup but as of now im not sure if i want to do anything, kinda growing out of it i guess u could say.

You should be able to trade that sub for a couple of pretty nasty 10s... Hit up either ca.com or caco. You shouldn't have much trouble trading that nice ass 15 for a couple 10s, if that's what you're wanting to do...
