Mtx 8000

Has anyone heard a MTX 8000. I just got a new one off of ebay for pretty cheap. I am going to use it in my TL for the winter and then put it in my sisters RSX. Anyone have any input on this sub.

Yeah, but he paid a fraction of the price. Also, FIY, there are other subs on the market now that can easily give the w7 series a run for there money. My brother fairly recently purchased a MTX 8000 off ebay as well and I was impressed with its output for the money he paid for it.

I only have the mtx 8000 till I sell my w7 and get a new sub. My w7 and ported box weigh so much that the rear of my car sags. So I am thinking of doing a 10w7 sealed, or a 12w6v2. Any ideas guys. Or just keep the 12w7 and have a second sub and just keep the w7 in during the summers when I really jam on the music.

ya that would suck to have your car sag...those w7's are so damn heavy! especially with the right box. I wouldnt think getting a second sub would be a good idea, it would just annoy you when it doesnt go as loud or as clear. So either modify your current setup to loose some weight or just get something smaller. All depends on how much you are hooked on the w7's output.

ou sig: I noticed u got 2 12 w3v2, I am also thinking of getting 2 10 w3v2s, I use to have 2 12 w3v2, and they where loud. I would say just as loud as my single w7.

You can get 2 of the 12's and they can hit within 1 or 2 db of 1 12W7 with a ported box, so ya they can hit just about as loud. My car doesnt sag at all, but I have the Comptech springs that hold the rear slightly higher anyway, so its all even now.
