Do the stock decks have any inputs on them?

I think it's been mentioned that our stock radios have a CD changer input, so could we add an MP3 player via this input? If so, would it be a simple line plug in or what would need to be done? And I don't think the radio has an auxilary button, so how would the MP3 player or external CD changer function?

You can get a fm modulator from crutchfield that has RCA inputs for around $55. Then you can set it to a radio station like a cd changer.

If those bad boys have an input you can probably find a way to get an MP3 player to work, just might take awhile depending on what type of input it is. I was more interested in the prospect of just hooking up a computer in the car to run something like winamp. If the decks CD changer input is a digital one, this wouldn't be too tough.

da-da-da... yes, anything is possible... and yes you can put sound into the deck from the cd changer input, but there has to be something there to tell the deck that a "changer" is connected, I am not sure of what connection is what back there, I know it is one plug, but there is no way of telling which one is for power, sound or what. and no it is not digital, its all analog. I just added an Alpine cd changer to my stock deck, which can also be done in the 2 gen Cl's, both gen's require a $30 harness plus the $270 changer, but it sounds so much better than the stock CD player. I just burn mp3 cd's at home and load them into my changer. It would be too hard to figure out all those different connections and then getting a way to tell the deck that something is connected there.
