Question Making the steering wheel PAC work

I'm having a hard time with finding a good spot to mount the "eye" from the PAC unit so that my steering column functions still work with the new head unit (Eclipse-55040). It doesn't seem to like the doable spots on the steering column or from the center console between the cupholder and shifter box.

I really thought the steering column was going to work...Any creative solutions,or advice would be great. Thanks.

Mine is mounted in the lower rear of the front face plate. It works well there.

Do you mean behind the faceplate - inside the console?

No actually on the face it self. I have a little hole for it to stick out. Kinda looks like a LED.
